My name is Liam and I am an integrative counsellor/therapist.
Life hasn't always been straightforward for me, and in many ways, that's what led me to counselling.
Over the years, I have experienced my own struggles with anxiety, self-doubt, and trying to work out who I am. Growing up in a large family, I often found myself questioning where I fitted in and searching for my own identity amongst different personalities, expectations, and relationships. Looking back, I can see how much those experiences shaped me and influenced the way I understand people today.
I've also experienced the emotional impact that difficult relationships can have on our wellbeing. At times, relationships left me feeling lost, anxious, and disconnected from myself. I know how easy it can be to lose sight of who you are when you're caught up in challenging situations or trying to meet the needs of everyone around you.
Work has brought its own challenges too. I have experienced unhealthy workplace environments and difficult management relationships that affected my confidence and self-worth. Those experiences taught me how deeply stress, pressure, and feeling undervalued can affect our mental health.
What I've learned through all of these experiences is that we don't have to face things alone. Sometimes we simply need a space where we can be ourselves without judgement, where someone genuinely listens, and where we can begin to make sense of what's going on.
That is what I aim to offer as a counsellor.
I don't believe people need to be "fixed". I believe most people already have the strength and ability to move forward, but sometimes life, anxiety, relationships, loss, or difficult experiences can make it hard to see the way ahead.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, family issues, workplace stress, or simply feeling stuck, you'll be met with warmth, understanding, and acceptance.
Finding my own way through life's challenges inspired me to help others find theirs.
You deserve to be well.
